What is SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) Trunking?
Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) Trunking is a service that uses the ‘SIP’ protocol to provision Voice over IP (VoIP) and multimedia connectivity between an on-premises PBX phone system and the traditional PSTN telephone network. In simple terms, A SIP trunk is a virtual phone line that connects your business phone system to the traditional telephone or mobile networks. It may consist of 10, 20 or more SIP lines that are often called channels.
Our monthly subscriptions are billed per second, per channel and per month. A channel can support either an incoming or an outgoing call at a time, acting as a virtual phone line for VoIP communication. To support, for example, 3 simultaneous calls, 3 channels would be required.

The monthly subscription is per channel per month.
You can request to increase or decrease the number of channels by email to sales@voipvoice.co.uk at any time. At the account level, it is not possible to mix PAYG and bundled channels. You will have to have one or the other.
Bundled minutes are pooled or grouped across the entire account. For example, if you have 10 channels, the account as a whole has a multiple of 10 of the selected included minutes.
Calls made outside of the Bundles (for example to destinations not included) and beyond your included minutes are billed on a Pay as You Go basis, in accordance with our current Rate sheet (prices), and without penalty.
